Meet Dr. McFarland

Education

Dr. Chris McFarland was born in Colorado and shortly thereafter his family moved to Tucson. He graduated from Sabino High School right here in town then attended Arizona State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors, graduating Magna cum Laude. He then went on to dental school at Marquette School of Dentistry and scored in the top ten percent of the country on his national board exams. Dr. McFarland performed comprehensive dentistry while serving our country in the military for four years, including a deployment to Iraq. He has practiced dentistry here in Tucson for the past several years.

Continuing Professional Education

Dr. McFarland stays current with the latest technology and dental treatments, by completing over 72 hours of continuing education credits every three years, including such advanced topics as laser therapy, dental implants, and the latest developments in materials used for different treatments. Keeping up-to-date with new developments allows him to provide patients with more options and better results.

Family and Community

Dr. McFarland is a family man with a lovely wife, Camille, and four children. He highly values his personal and professional relationships. In his free time, Dr. McFarland enjoys playing golf, biking, sports card collecting, fishing, service through his church, and coaching his kids’ sports teams.

Dr. McFarland feels very blessed for the good things in his life and enjoys helping those less fortunate. He was taught at a young age the importance of giving back through service to the community, all while building relationships and interacting with a wide variety of people. In addition to working with the Grayline Program where he volunteered dental care for underserved school children and with Hopefest, an annual event providing dental care to members of the community in need, Dr. McFarland also participates in National Make-a-Difference Day and serves as a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts.
